簡單來說，Prof. Tim Noakes提出建議給餵母乳的媽媽低碳水化合物高脂肪的飲食，然後被控告：

1. 在社群網路(在本案是Tweeter)上給醫療建議，違反醫病關係原則

2. 他做出"非專業的建議unprofessional advice"、"非主流醫學接受的建議unconventional advice"

向"南非健康專業委員會Health Professions Council SA (HPCSA) 提出檢舉的，是一位約翰尼斯堡的營養師 Claire Strydom，她同時也是" Association for Dietetics in South Africa南非營養學會"的主席。

而有趣的是，她在提出檢舉之後，開始掩蓋她本身是"家樂氏Kellodd's"的顧問並且關係密切的事實。

目前本案已經宣告Prof. TN無罪，但過程有很多點可以提出來檢視。
